Today’s entry: Officers with Guns
”We need someone who can take aim and shoot fast,” The Reviewer had said. ”If I recall right that is you or Kara?”
”That is right,” Cassandra had said. ”, Kara has dropped a few points, though”
”I don’t think Kara’s recent activity should weigh in on this decision. We will make room for you both.”
And that was that.
Cassandra held back sigh. The undercarriage pushed against her back and the asphalt against her chest. Hopefully Kara had it better.
She doubted it though. Hiding under cars was never comfortable. The pool around the fountain created an illusion that the two cars was completely demolished, but they stood on their four wheels.
”When I scratch my foot against the ground you come out of hiding and shoot the evil Santa,” the Reviewer had said.
”How is we shooting him helping? He is immortal.”
”Never underestimate the element of surprise.”
Cassandra hoped he knew what he was talking about. This would be their last chance.
On the other side of the pool, The Reviewer scraped his foot against the asphalt. Cassandra crawled out and looked at Kara. The sloppy face nodded. They both arose and fired. They fired again. And again.
